Dua Lipa was born 22nd August, 1995 in London, the United Kingdom. Following her stint as a model, she decided to join Warner Bros Records and release her debut album entitled "Dua Lipa" in 2017. The album climbed to the top spot at No. 3 on the U.K. Charts. There were eight singles released including Be the First I.D.G.A.F. as well as New Rules. In the United States it peaked as the 6th most popular album. Lipa was awarded the Brit Award in 2018 as British Female Soloist as well as British Breakthrough Artist. Dua Lipa was born in London on 22 August 1995 to Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa Rexha and Dukagjin Lipa. Her mother is Bosnian. It is also possible to locate her ancestral ancestors from Peja, the Kosovo village of Peja. Lipa's grandfathers are both historians. Her siblings include Rina as well as Gjin. The musical influence of Lipa's came from her father who was the lead singer and guitarist of the Kosovan the rock group Oda. The band was heavily influenced by their father's music that included his music compositions and songs like David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics Stereophonics.
