Alison Krauss was born July 23rd, 1971 in Decatur, Illinois. LeAnne Kymes is also one of the two most recent Grammy Award recipients. Alison Maria Krauss - born on July 23, 1971, is an American country and bluegrass singer. She started in the industry as a child, when she was just 10 years old. She signed with Rounder Records, her first album came out in 1987. In addition, she was invited to the band Alison Krauss Union Station where she still performs. Then, in 1989 her debut solo album came out with them.
